By submitting a Film to AFFLV, the Producer is not giving up their copyright rights in any way. AFFLV’s sole purpose is to “Screen” your submission. All rights to the films belong to its Producer. All films belong to their prospective Producers to do with as they please. The only thing we ask is that if a Producer’s Film Submission is chosen that they refrain from distributing it elsewhere. All Producers whose films are chosen for the Festival, as well as the winning submissions will have additional Distribution offers available immediately following AFFLV in October 2024. At that time, said Producer will be compensated if they decide to participate in the offered program. In no way is any Producer required to participate in any of the offered Distribution Programs though. Again, all content submitted remains the property of it’s prospective Producer.
